Andrea Mattera, CPA
Ms. Mattera began her career in 1998 with a mid-sized public accounting firm in Nassau County. She later joined the Assurance and Business Advisory Services Practice at Ernst and Young, LLP, in Melville, New York, where she specialized in auditing of retail, distribution and manufacturing companies. Ms. Mattera joined AVZ as a Supervisor in 2004, was promoted to Manager in 2006 and to Principal in 2017.
Ms. Mattera provides accounting, auditing and taxation services to a diversified client base in a variety of industries including wholesale distribution, manufacturing, construction, professional services, and not-for profit entities.
Ms. Mattera has been profiled in the Long Island Business News “Who’s Who in Accounting” as well as selected to be in the first AVZ Emerging Leaders Academy class. This class which is part of the Upstream Academy is a three year course which prepares high potential candidates to be the future leaders of a firm. As a participant of this program Andrea has shown an amazing talent to lead, guide and innovate in all areas.
Ms. Mattera is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). She also serves as the Chair of the SUNY Old Westbury School of Business Advisory Board and is an active member of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Ms. Mattera holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the State University of Old Westbury, New York.
