Mr. Antaki began his career in accounting with a local firm. In this capacity, he was responsible for accounting, auditing and tax returns for businesses and individuals. He joined AVZ in 1982, and was admitted as Partner in 1999.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Government Officers Financial Association, and the Long Island Contractors Association. He is a past chapter President for the Institute of Management Accounting, Long Island Chapter and the Treasurer for Friends of Community Services of Oyster Bay.
He works on numerous accounting and auditing engagements, primarily servicing governments, financial services companies and retail establishments. Mr. Antaki provides business guidance in financial systems, establishing internal accounting controls, asset preservation, budgeting, planning, regulatory compliance and is involved with AVZ’s Wealth Management entity. Mr. Antaki is a registered representative who has passed the FINRA series 7 and NASAA series 66 exams. He also holds a New York State Life and Health Insurance License.
Mr. Antaki lectures on various business and accounting issues and professional development strategies. A graduate from Manhattan College with honors, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He is an active volunteer for various local community and civic organizations.
