Mr. Ruggiero began his career in public accounting in 1994 after graduating from Dowling College, in Oakdale, NY, with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting.  He joined AVZ in 1996 and was promoted to Principal in 2007. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Government Finance Officers’ Association, the New York State School Business Officials and the New York Conference of Mayors.

Mr. Ruggiero's responsibilities include providing accounting, auditing, compliance and tax service, as well performing “yellow book” and “single audits”, and providing business advice and guidance to clients in a variety of industries. These industries include governmental and not-for-profit entities, engineering, manufacturing, and wholesaling distribution. Mr. Ruggiero assists clients in establishing and maintaining accounting systems and controls, budgeting, tax planning, and compliance. He also performs Federal Acquisition Regulations Audits.
