Ms. Sumpter is an accounting and auditing manager with over 9 years of industry experience. She is involved in the planning and supervision of various auditing and review engagements. Her clients include various local municipalities, financial institutions, and small businesses.

Ms. Sumpter began her career in public accounting with a mid-sized Long Island-based firm. She joined AVZ in March 2004 and was promoted to manager in 2007.

Ms. Sumpter holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Ms. Sumpter’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and New York State Government Finance Officers' Association (NYSGFOA). Ms. Sumpter is on the Board of the IMA Long Island Chapter and currently holds the Treasurer position.
